GPShopper Kicks Off Summer With Rooftop Party

Posted by Elizabeth Hoffman on Jul 12, 2017 11:00:00 AM

At GPShopper, we believe the best way to welcome summer is with a proper party. So, on Thursday, June 22nd, we hosted a 'Summer in Retail' rooftop party and welcomed over 150 people to kick off summer in style at our new location in the Flatiron District.

People in the retail community are gearing up for what may be one of the most exciting events of the year: Salesforce XChange 2017. After an exciting acquisition by Salesforce in 2016, Demandware became Salesforce Commerce Cloud and their first official XChange event will take place this May 16-18 at the Aria in Las Vegas.

XChange brings together retailers and Salesforce Commerce Cloud partners to find inspiration, insight and education to create deeper connections between retailers and consumers.

Mobile is sure to be a major topic of interest at the event, as in-store technology is becoming a vital tool for retailers looking to do more with less.  In fact, a recent story in TechCrunch found that U.S. consumers now spend 5 hours per day on mobile devices and spend 7 hours a month in shopping apps. In a recent research study by GPShopper, consumers also named mobile apps as the most trusted form of technology when it came to handling their financial information.
