Digital movie ticket seller Fandango surprised the heck out of me yesterday when I purchased tickets to see "Terminator Genisys." Then I remembered, Ah yes, Fandango, the business that's always out there ahead of the pack in mobile commerce and mobile marketing. Makes sense.
Take a look at the image accompanying this story. It's a screenshot from the moment after I purchased my movie tickets for tonight. I'm done, I'm in a happy mood because I just bought tickets to a movie, and...what's this? "Hello! Stay in the know with Fandango. Get alerts to new movie releases, special offers and free screenings. Get Push Notifications." SOLD! I signed up almost without thinking (but waited long enough to snap a screenshot because I was so mind-boggled that someone finally got this right).
